UNCA's Philosophy Lecture Series Discusses
the Nature of Evil
UNC Asheville will continue its contemporary philosophy community
lecture series at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at UNCA's Kellogg Center,
11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. Gordon Wilson, UNCA chairman and
professor, will discuss "What is Evil and Why is There Evil?" An
open discussion will follow his talk.
The program is the fifth of the year-long, nine-part series
co-sponsored by UNCA's Philosophy Department and the Institute for Applied
Philosophy. The series, "Applying Philosophy," is designed to
foster discussion on philosophically significant issues of the day. All
events are open to the public. A donation of $5 will be suggested at the
door.
The next lecture in the series will address "Morals and How We
Learn to Make Moral Choices" on February 5.
