UNCA Concert Band and String Ensembles to Perform
Spring Concert

The UNC Asheville concert band and string ensembles will perform a spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at UNCA's Lipinsky Auditorium. Admission is $5.

The string ensemble selections will include Vivaldi's "Guitar Concerto in D Major" featuring guitarist David Stevenson and Bach's "Suite No. 2" featuring Shannon Siemens, flute and Paul Templon, harpsichord. The concert band will perform arrangements of "Pictures at an Exhibition," "Firebird Suite," "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" and "Sea Songs." These UNCA student ensembles perform under the direction of Jacqueline Mattingly, UNCA assistant professor of music.
