UNCA Drama Department Hosts Seventh Annual
Haunted Theatre, Costume Sale

UNC Asheville will hold the seventh annual Haunted Theatre on October 23-26 and 29-31. Drawing inspiration from "Macbeth," drama students will transform UNCA's Carol Belk Theatre into a house of horrors filled with ghouls and other surprises. It promises to take the phrase "stage fright" to a whole new level!

Special "lights on" tours will be available for children from 6-7 p.m. each night. Spooky adult tours run from 7-10 p.m. nightly. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students and $4 for children ages 10 and younger. Group rates are available.

The Drama Department will also hold a Halloween costume sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. October 24-25, in Carol Belk Theatre lobby. An assortment of inexpensive costumes will be available.

The Haunted Theatre and costume sale is sponsored by UNCA’s student chapter of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology. Proceeds will benefit the group’s trip to the national conference next March. Last year, the UNCA chapter was awarded the national title at the Theatre Technology Olympics held during the conference.
