UNCA Dance Program to Host Dual Benefit PerformanceUNC Asheville’s Dance Program will hold its annual benefit performance "Everybody Can-Can" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in UNCA’s Lipinsky Auditorium. Admission at the door is $5 or three cans of food. All canned goods will be donated to Manna Food Bank and cash proceeds will benefit UNCA’s Dance Program. The performance is suitable for all ages. The show is an evening of premiere performances. More than 70 dancers from UNCA and the Asheville community will perform a variety of genres, including African, modern, Middle Eastern, ballet, swing and jazz. In addition to the work of faculty and students, the program will feature the choreography of two guest artists. Severine Gaubert and Diane Tauber will perform original works, which will focus on different aspects of femininity.
