UNCA's Creative Writing Program Seniors to Give Readings

UNC Asheville's Creative Writing Program seniors will give readings of their recent work at two upcoming events. The readings are free and open to the public.

The first reading will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at UNCA’s Laurel Forum, Karpen Hall. Reading at this event will be seniors Connie Aiken, Sarah Almond, Dru Holley-Alexander, John Jackson III and Miranda Volborth.

The second reading will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at UNCA’s Laurel Forum, Karpen Hall. Reading at this event will be seniors Rachel Cook, Charles Corriher, Carrie McCallus, Melody Lindsey, Chris Slempa and April Weeks.

UNCA’s Creative Writing program offers students the opportunity and incentive to develop their writing skills in a workshop setting and to support that writing with a strong background in literary studies. The program seeks to foster confident undergraduate writers who work with a sound knowledge of their own literary tradition and who can produce works of publishable quality.

For more information, call UNCA's Literature and Language Department at 828/251-6411.
