UNCA's Philosophy Lecture Series to Address Issues of Love

UNC Asheville will continue its contemporary philosophy community lecture series at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at UNCA’s Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. Melissa Burchard, UNCA assistant professor of philosophy, will discuss "What is Love and Why is it Important?" An open discussion will follow her talk.

The program is the fourth in the year-long, nine-part series co-sponsored by UNCA’s Philosophy Department and the Institute for Applied Philosophy. The series, "Applying Philosophy," is designed to foster discussion on philosophically significant issues of the day. All events are open to the public. A donation of $5 will be suggested at the door.

The next lecture in the series will ask "What is Evil and Why is There Evil?" on January 15.
