UNCA's Philosophy Lecture Series Continues October 2UNC Asheville will continue its contemporary philosophy community lecture series at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at UNCA's Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. Keya Maitra, UNCA assistant professor of philosophy, and Sara Worth, Furman University assistant professor of philosophy, will discuss "What is Happiness and How Do We Achieve it?" An open discussion will follow their talk. The program is the second of the year-long, nine-part series co-sponsored by UNCA's Philosophy Department and the Institute for Applied Philosophy. The series, "Applying Philosophy," is designed to foster discussion on philosophically significant issues of the day. All events are open to the public. A donation of $5 will be suggested at the door. The next lecture in the series will explore "Money and Virtue" on November 6. For driving directions, call the Kellogg Center at 828/890-2821.
