Free Workshop June 20 at UNCA for Minority-Owned and
Small Businesses; Event Focuses on Doing Business with the N.C. University
System
A free, evening workshop for minority-owned and small businesses interested in working on projects within the University of North Carolina system will be held Thursday, June 20, at UNC Asheville. The workshop, co-sponsored by UNC Asheville, Western Carolina University and the North Carolina Arboretum, will include presentations on financing, state certification and opportunities at each institution. Speakers will include bankers, state and university officials and major contractors. The workshop will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. in UNC Asheville's Owen Conference Center.
