Leadership Asheville Accepting Applications

UNC Asheville’s Leadership Program Office is now accepting applications for Leadership Asheville, a nine-month community leadership development program, which begins in September.

Now in its 21st year, Leadership Asheville provides in-depth exploration of issues affecting the future of Asheville and Buncombe County, including education, economic development, the environment and governance. The program also gives participants an opportunity to improve their leadership skills such as collaborative problem solving and team building. Leadership Asheville has over 700 graduates.

Application deadline is May 10, 2002. Tuition for Leadership Asheville is $1200 per participant and is payable by the employer, a sponsoring organization or the participant. A limited number of partial scholarships are available.
