UNCA Offers Java 2 Certification TrainingUNC Asheville will offer a Java 2 certification training courses in partnership with CrossLogic Corp., an Asheville-based information technology consulting firm. The class is open to the public. Java applications have become the new benchmark of code portability in client-server environments. This certification course is designed for the working professional to successfully master concepts and achieve Java2 certification. Certification in Java application is a recognized industry credential and a building block to other certifications. Students should have previous experience in a programming language and have an understanding of some of the basic principles of object-oriented technology. The class will meet from 6-9:30 p.m. Wednesdays from January 30-May 1 Class will be held in the Aston Park Building, 53 S. French Broad Ave. and will be taught by UNCA mathematics instructor Edward Johnson. Participants who successfully complete the class will earn three UNCA academic credits.
