"Three Views of Greece" On View in UNCA's Blowers Gallery"Three Views of Greece," an exhibition of photographs and sketches by UNC Asheville faculty and staff, is on view through January 31 in UNC Asheville’s Blowers Gallery. A reception will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, in the gallery. An informal talk with the artists will be given at 8 p.m. The show and reception are free and open to the public. The images were created during UNCA’s Field Experience Course in Archaeology last summer. Students, faculty and staff traveled to Athens, Mycenae, Delphi, Mykonos and Crete for one month of study and cultural experience. Highlights from the trip included archaeological field work at a Neolithic site on the island of Mykonos, lectures at major museums and site tours on Crete and mainland Greece. The exhibition is made up of 36 color photographs by UNCA Mass Communications Professor Alan Hantz and UNCA Slide Librarian Suzzy Sams. Five black-and-white sketches by UNCA Assistant Classics Professor Dorothy Dvorsky-Rohner round out the show. The gallery, located on the main floor of UNCA’s Ramsey Library, is open during regular library hours. For hours of operation, call UNCA’s Ramsey Library at 828/251-6546. Media Contacts:
