UNCA Offers A Variety of Continuing Education Classes Throughout the Fall

Highlighting the fall lineup of UNC Asheville's continuing education courses are a number of communication classes, including Spanish in the Workplace and Spanish for the Health Care Professional. New this year is a ten-week course on "How to Publicize Your Community Organization Effectively" targeted toward charities, churches, sports teams, clubs and school parent groups. Other communication courses include American Sign Language, Italian, Spanish, business and creative writing and Web design.

Courses in personal and professional development and the creative arts round out the 31 available classes. Those who wish to enhance their personal or professional development may opt for "Create a New Reality," "Parenting Your Adolescent," or "Women Moving Through Cancer." Offerings in the creative arts include scrapbooking, painting, videography and film appreciation.

The five- and ten-week courses are open to the community and begin Monday, Sept. 9. Five-week class fees are $60; ten-week class fees are $120. For an application or more information, call UNCA's Office of Special Academic Programs at 828/251-6558.
