N.C. Center for Creative Retirement Hosts
Asheville Architecture Walking Tour

The N.C. Center for Creative Retirement will offer one of its popular behind-the-scenes tours on "Asheville’s Architecture: Past, Present and In Between" from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, June 8, in downtown Asheville. The tour is open to public.

Asheville architect John Rogers and local historian Mitzi Tessier will lead the tour. Participants will examine the work of Richard Sharp Smith, Douglas Ellington, Albert Wirth, E.J.T. Hoffman and I.M. Pei as they explore existing Art Deco, Romanesque Revival and Neo-Gothic buildings downtown.

The $65 registration fee includes the tour as well as a continental breakfast and lunch at Cafe on the Square. Registration deadline is Wednesday, June 6.
