UNCA to Hold Annual Take Back the Night Program April 13

The University of North Carolina Asheville will hold its annual "Take Back the Night" program at 6 p.m. Friday, April 13, on the UNCA quadrangle. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Humanities Lecture Hall. The program is free and open to the public.

The program will feature poetry, song and talks focused on eradicating violence against women. A candle-light march will follow as a symbol of reclaiming the night as a safe place for women.

For more information, call Summer Starling, UNCA student and program coordinator, at 828/255-7302.
