New local favorites the Magdaddy’s will continue UNC Asheville’s Concerts on the Quad entertainment series at 7 p.m. Monday, June 18, on UNCA’s main quadrangle. The show is free and open to the public.

The MagDaddy’s, Asheville’s newest swing sensation, is sure to have the audience on their feet. This group of six talented musicians, including a full horn section, plays toe-tapping swing and jump favorites from the Stray Cats, Elvis, B.B. King, James Brown, Louis Prima and others.

Now in its 19th season, UNCA’s Concerts on the Quad brings fun to the entire family on Mondays evenings through July 9. The public is invited to bring picnics, blankets and lawn chairs as they relax on the quad. With between 500 and 2,000 people attending each concert, lawn-chair seating will be separate from blanket seating in order to preserve sight lines; please look for signage when arriving on the quad. In case of rain, the concerts will be held in Lipinsky Auditorium.
