Hani Abu-Dayyeh to Discuss the Middle Eastern Conflict

Hani Abu-Dayyeh, president of the Higher Council for the Arab Tourist Industry, will discuss "The Economic Impact of the Middle Eastern Conflict" at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, in UNC Asheville’s Laurel Forum, located on the main floor of Karpen Hall. The talk and following reception are free and open to the public.

Abu-Dayyeh is a respected Palestinian-Israeli businessman and goodwill ambassador. He spoke at the 2000 Jordanian Peace Summit and has worked closely with the French government in fostering trade and tourism in the Middle East. His talk will touch on topics ranging from regional trade and tourism to the significance of the conflict in a global context.

The talk is sponsored by UNCA’s Humanities Student Association and Honors Program.
