The University of North Carolina Asheville will host the third annual Bulldog Dash for runners and their dogs at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at UNCA’s outdoor track. The half-mile race is open to the public.

This unique event pairs runners and their dogs in four races: large dogs and male owners, large dogs and female owners, small dogs and male or female owners, and a youth fun run with dogs of all sizes (all dogs must be on a leash at all times). The first 100 entrants will receive a Bulldog Dash t-shirt and special gifts from Purina One dog food. The first place winners in each adult category will win a gift certificate from Superpetz.

Entry fees received before April 10 are $10. Entries received after April 10 and the morning of the race are $15. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the entrance to UNCA’s soccer and softball fields. Proceeds will benefit UNCA’s athletic programs.
