| For Immediate Release October 30, 2001 Theatre UNCA Presents "Crimes of the Heart" November 15-18 Theatre UNC Asheville presents its production of Beth Henley's Pulitzer Prize winning comedy "Crimes of the Heart" November 15-18 in UNCA's Carol Belk Theatre. Directed by Patricia Snoyer, UNCA associate drama professor, the comedy features an all-student cast of actors in their senior year. "Crimes of the Heart" introduces us to the loves, losses, laughter and lives of the three Magrath sisters. The play opens on the sisters’ unexpected reunion at their old Mississippi homestead as they begin dealing with the zany twists in each of their lives. In the end, this Southern comedy is the story of three characters who escape the past to seize the future. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $9 general admission, $7 senior citizens and $5 students. Because of the intimate size of UNCA's Carol Belk Theatre and often heavy demand for tickets, advance purchase is strongly advised. Tickets may be purchased by phone with Visa or MasterCard after November 8, by calling 828/232-2291 between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.
