| For Immediate Release February 1, 2001 "Art Treasures from African
Runners" Exhibition Opens Feb. 5 A special exhibition entitled "Art Treasures from African Runners," featuring some 50 African art objects from the private collection of John Rohner, will be on view in UNCA’s Blowers Gallery Feb. 5-28. Part of UNCA’s month-long celebration of Black History Month, the exhibition will display traditional African sculptures, fetishes and masks. An opening reception will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in the gallery, located on the main floor of the Ramsey Library.
