Scott Lattimore, Valerie Leff to Read at UNC Asheville April 30

UNCA's Writers at Home reading series continues at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 30, with readings by authors Scott Lattimore and Valerie Leff. Writers at Home is part of the Great Smokies Writing Program, a consortium of the Western North Carolina writer's community and UNC Asheville's Creative Writing Program. The program is free and open to the public.

Lattimore, who holds a master of fine arts degree in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College, has had his work published in The Charlotte Poetry Review and The Asheville Poetry Review. He has work forthcoming in Main Street Rag and is currently an adjunct writing professor at Warren Wilson College.

Leff, who is co-director of the Great Smokies Writing Program, has had her short fiction published in The Seattle Review, The Sun, Northeast Corridor, Happy and other journals. A new story is forthcoming in The South Carolina Review. From 1994 to 1996, she was a member of the Poetry Center Committee at the 92nd Street Y in New York. She was the recipient of a Chenango Valley Writers' Conference fellowship in 1998. Leff has taught creative writing workshops both in Asheville and outside of North Carolina.
