| For Immediate Release October 2, 2000 UNCA's "What Is...Philosophy?" Series Continues Oct. 11 in Hendersonville UNCA assistant philosophy professor Brian Butler will continue the "What Is Philosophy?" Lecture Series with a talk on "What Do We Do When Good Ideas Don’t Work? What is Pragmatism?" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at UNCA’s Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. An open discussion will follow his talk. The program is the third lecture in the 10-part series sponsored by the Institute for Applied Philosophy in conjunction with UNCA’s Philosophy Department. The series promotes better understanding of philosophy for the general public and explores some specific areas philosophy is at work in people’s lives. This series is open to the public.
