| For Immediate Release September 25, 2000 "What Is...Philosophy?" Lecture Series Continues Sept. 27 in Hendersonville UNCA philosophy professor Melissa Burchard will continues the "What Is...Philosophy?" Lecture Series with a talk on "How Does Gender Affect What We Know? What Is Feminist Epistemology?" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at UNCA’s Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville. An open discussion will follow her talk. The program is the second lecture in the 10-part series sponsored by the Institute for Applied Philosophy in conjunction with UNCA’s Philosophy Department. The series promotes better understanding of philosophy for the general public and explores some specific areas philosophy is at work in people’s lives. This series is open to the public.
