Theatre UNCA will present the 14th annual Tanglewood Summer Studio, creative arts classes in acting, creative drama, movement, improvisation and visual arts for 8- to 13-year-olds, beginning June 26. This summer's sessions feature training with members of Playback Theatre. Courses focus on the artistic creative process and individual development of children. The program is sponsored by the UNCA Drama Department.

Classes are held from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday on the UNCA campus and continue for two weeks. Students may register for the 8- to 9-year-old group or the 10- to 13-year-old group. Session I will be held June 26-July 7, and Session II will be held July 10-21. Courses in the second session will be repeats of those in the first session. First-time students are asked to enroll in Session I courses, if possible. Students with prior experience and a sincere interest in the performing arts are encouraged to enroll in Session II courses. Students should register for one session only.

The two-week session fee is $250. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and must include a $100 non-refundable deposit. Enrollment is limited and early application is advised. For further information, call the UNCA Drama Department at 828/251-6610.
