Website design, pottery and sign language are among the topics offered through UNCA’s 13th annual Super Saturday Program beginning February 26. The program, for 3rd-8th grade gifted, creative and motivated students, has helped more than 8,000 children from across Western North Carolina explore their interests through hands-on learning on the UNCA campus.

Science is a special focus this year with courses offered in astronomy, aeronatuics and chemistry. And as in past years, a variety of classes in math, computers, and the arts will be available.

Several UNCA faculty members and upper-level students teach Super Saturday classes, along with outstanding public school teachers, educators, and professionals.

Super Saturday classes meet 9 a.m. to noon for six consecutive Saturdays beginning February 26. All students are welcome to apply. Tuition is $49 per class. Deadline to apply is February 18. For information or to request an application, call UNCA’s Office of Special Academic Programs, 828/251-6558.
