UNCA's Ceramics Program to Hold Soup-and-Salad Sale April 28; Mother's Day Pottery Sale May 5

There will be plenty of handmade ceramic bowls and mugs on sale from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 28, when

UNCA's Ceramics Program holds its third annual Soup-and-Salad Sale. Funds raised will go toward materials to build a new kiln for ceramics and sculpture students.  Those buying bowls are invited to stay for lunch and fill their purchases with soup and salad and beverages.  There is no limit on the number of bowls one person may purchase; bowl prices will range from $4 to $10. The soups and salads will be provided by UNCA art students and faculty. The sale will be held in Owen Conference Center, located on the third floor of Owen Hall.

The Ceramics Program will also hold its annual Mother's Day pottery sale from4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 6.  The sale, held in the Ceramics Department on Owen Hall's first floor, will feature both functional and decorative pottery.
