UNCA's Second Annual Hispanic Film Festival Begins Sept. 11

Five popular, contemporary films highlight UNCA’s Second annual Hispanic Film Festival beginning with "Alas de Mariposa" ("Butterfly Wings"), a 1992 Spanish film, at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, in the Whitman Room of Ramsey Library. Other films are as follows:

* "Hombre Mirando al Sudeste" ("Man Facing Southeast"), a 1986 Argentinian film, will be shown at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, in the Whitman Room of Ramsey Library.

* "Cartas de Alou" ("Letters from Alou"), a 1990 Spanish film, will be shown at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, in the Whitman Room of Ramsey Library.

* "Abre Los Ojos" ("Open Your Eyes"), a 1998 Spanish film, will be shown at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, in the Whitman Room of Ramsey Library.

* "Mujer Transparente" ("Transparent Woman"), a 1990 Cuban film, will be shown at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, in the Highsmith Center Lounge.
