UNCA's Continuing Education Program to Offer Classes in Hendersonville

Registration is now open for two new UNCA Continuing Education courses beginning in April. Both courses are open to high school students and adults. Classes will meet at UNCA's Kellogg Center, 11 Broyles Rd., Hendersonville.

Jessica Godino will teach "Wild Foods for Health" 3:30-5:30 p.m. Saturdays, April 1-29. Godino, co-owner of Red Moon Herbs, will help students learn to identify, harvest and prepare wild, local medicinal and edible plants. This outdoor, hands-on class is open to students of all levels. The fee is $55.

Jennie Campbell will teach "Spanish for the Health Care Profession" 1-3 p.m. Saturdays, April 8-May 13. The course will include basic Spanish vocabulary and key phrases specifically for the health care environment. One continuing education credit will be offered. The registration fee is $60. A $7 materials fee will be required on the first day of class.
