UNCA Professor to Publish Book on Electronic Commerce

Glenn L. Helms, University of North Carolina at Asheville accounting professor, recently completed a book on electronic commerce. "E-Commerce: Audit and Control" will be published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants this fall. The book addresses controls to detect hackers and prevent computer abuse, means to identify e-commerce buyers and sellers, and other computer control and security topics.

Helms, a new UNCA faculty member, holds a doctorate in EDP Auditing and Information Systems from the University of Houston where he was the Arthur Young Fellow in EDP Auditing. He also holds CPA, CIA and CISA certifications.
