| For Immediate Release November 3, 2000 UNCA's Classics Department to Host Talk on the City of Cyrene Nov. 16 UNCA’s Classic Department, in conjunction with the Western Carolina Society of the Archaeological Institute of America, will host a talk by Susan Kane, Oberlin College associate professor of art history, on "Cyrene: A Greco-Roman City in Libya" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at UNCA’s Owen Conference Center. Tickets are $5 at the door. Kane’s talk will be followed by a reception in honor of the Western Carolina Society of the Archaeological Institute of America’s late founding president, Peter Paddock of Cashiers.
