UNCA and Blue Ridge
Community College Collaborate
Community college graduates and other qualified students can now pursue additional management course work thanks to a recent collaboration between UNCA and Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock. Two 300-level courses will be taught at Blue Ridge Community College and credits will be earned at UNCA.
The arrangement allows students who are interested in pursuing a four-year degree to begin course work close to home. "We are so pleased about this partnership with Blue Ridge Community College and hope this is the first of many collaborations," said Elaine Fox, UNCA Special Academic Programs director.
Management 300: Legal and Ethical Environment will be taught by Penny Brunner, UNCA Management and Accountancy visiting assistant professor, from 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings beginning January 20. The class will offer a unique perspective of the interface among organizations, the individual and society. Students will explore a variety of topics, including the legal system, white collar crimes, negligence and ethics.
