Literacy in the General Education: A New Requirement of the 21st Century."
The Journal of General Education 51.2 (2002): 115-126.
Abstract: Within the current deliberations about the core curriculum of general
education in higher education, a new concept, information literacy, is gaining attention and being added to the mix.
Information literacy in the 21st century is going to be an integral part of culture and a
cultural change agent. As such, information literacy stands on its own as an important core component to the general education.
