Contacts and Grants Accounting

The Contracts and Grants Accounting Office is responsible for the fiscal management of private and publicly sponsored programs.  This funding provides support for capital projects, student scholarships/fellowships, program development, and a host of other activities.  It is through private and public funding that the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) is able to expand diversity within the student population, build green facilities, supplement educational activities, and expand community outreach.

The University of North Carolina at Asheville is committed to the principled management of grant and endowment funding. At the center of the University's assurance, the UNCA Grants and Endowment Accounting Office is responsible for  sponsored program accounting and reporting.  These assurances are consistent with regulatory compliance and acceptable best practices.

  • American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

    The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed by President Obama on February 17, 2009. With signing ARRA into law, governmental agencies will receive additional funding to support research and programmatic activities. Agencies are issuing announcements and updates at a rapid pace. Announcements are posted through individual agency sites and Grants.gov (http://www.grants.gov). These funds my provide you with an opportunity to build on community activities currently undertaken while adding to your scholarly activity (Overview of recovery act is at http://www.recovery.gov).
