Tuition Management Systems Payment Plan
UNC Asheville offers a monthly
payment plan option through Tuition Management Systems (TMS)
for the fall and spring semesters. The payment plan is available for a small
enrollment fee and includes personal account service, automated account
information 24 hours a day, and online access to the account. Any student may
take advantage of a monthly payment plan through TMS. Contact TMS at
www.afford.com/unca or by calling
1-800-343-0911 to set up a payment plan.
The TMS payment plans are
typically ten (10) payments if the plan is started on time. Payments on the 1st
of each month are from June through October for the fall semester and from
November through March for the spring semester. Payment plans can be started
after the first payment date for the plan
Students attending the fall
semester can establish a payment plan with TMS as late as August 1st.
Students attending the spring semester can establish a payment plan with TMS by
December 15th. Students who miss these dates will not be able to
establish a payment plan for the semester and will be expected to make payment
in full prior to registering for classes.
There are no payment plans for the
summer school terms!
Important Facts to Remember

Payments to TMS are applied to the students’ accounts on a monthly basis.

Students will still receive bills from the university even if they have a
payment plan with TMS. These bills are for the student to review their UNC
Asheville student account activity and verify that the TMS budget will cover
their balance at UNC Asheville. Students should deduct any pending or future
TMS payments that are not reflected on their UNC Asheville bill to determine
if their TMS budget is correct.

Adjustments made to the student’s UNC Asheville account will not
automatically update their TMS payment plan. If a student receives
additional scholarships or charges, then they will need to adjust their TMS
payment plan or contact the Cashier’s Office to do so.

If a
student’s TMS payment plan becomes delinquent or if it is not sufficient to
cover their student account balance a hold may be placed on their account
preventing them from pre-registering for an upcoming semester or receiving
their transcripts.

There are no payment plans available
for the summer school terms!
