The Honorarium office reports to the Controller and reviews the payment of honorariums and payments of nonresident aliens (often these are visiting lecturers from other countries), researching tax treaties, sending required IRS forms to individuals and the IRS, and ensuring the University complies with Federal regulations.

This office is also responsible for updating, reviewing, and filing 1099 forms for individuals, legal and medical professionals performing services for UNC Asheville.  EBSCO subscription orders, the annual renewal of publications through this service and any complaints about EBSCO are also handled in this office.
