The History of Jews in
Western North Carolina
With the help of D. H. Ramsey Library, History @ Hand, and The Center for Diversity Education, we are participating in a project to preserve archival materials on the history of Jews in Western North Carolina. You can access many of these materials by visiting the D. H. Ramsey Library Special Collections pages on UNC Asheville’s website. Currently, the materials are organized according to three themes: Jewish Heritage in Western North Carolina, Jewish Businesses in Western North Carolina, and Choosing to Remember: From the Shoah to the Mountains.
