Holocaust Remembrance
Every year, the students of UNC Asheville sponsor the Reading of the Names of Holocaust Victims in conjunction with Yom Ha Shoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the greater Asheville community come together to take turns reading the names of victims aloud on the platform outside D. H. Ramsey Library on the UNC Asheville campus.
Occasionally additional educational programming is offered in conjunction with the two-day Reading of the Names event.
